GPUParticleRender for Cinema 4D 2026
====================================

Renders Thinking Particles (including X-Particles output) live on the NVIDIA GPU:
additive (glow) or volumetric with C4D lights and self-shadowing, depth of field,
motion blur, spherical camera (360 degrees, mono/stereo).
Export as EXR (linear, premultiplied) or transparent PNG (8/16 bit),
single image or sequence.

Requirements
  - Cinema 4D 2026 (Windows, 64 bit)
  - NVIDIA GPU from Turing (RTX 20xx, GTX 16xx) to Blackwell (RTX 50xx)
  - NVIDIA driver 580 or newer
  - No CUDA toolkit installation required.

Installation
  1. Extract the folder "GPUParticleRender" from the ZIP into a plugin folder
     of your own, e.g. D:\C4D-Plugins\GPUParticleRender
  2. Cinema 4D: Edit > Preferences > Plugins, add D:\C4D-Plugins as a
     plugin path.
  3. Restart Cinema 4D. Open via Extensions > GPUParticleRender.
GPUParticleRender.xdl64 and particlegpu.dll must stay in the same folder.

Usage
  - Renders from the scene camera of the active viewport.
  - Export: resolution and frame range come from the render settings (Output).
The export plays a copy of the scene from the scene start; the open scene
stays unchanged. Use "Cancel export" to stop.
  - Spherical camera: enable it in the camera's "Spherical" tab. Range, stereo
(parallel/toe-in), eye separation, neck distance, pole smoothing and layout
    are used. Choose a matching aspect ratio: mono 2:1 (e.g. 4096 x 2048),
    stereo above/under 1:1 (e.g. 4096 x 4096).
Not supported: cubic mappings and "Fit Frame".
  - Lights (volumetric mode): point, spot, distant; max. 8. Area, tube and IES
lights are approximated as point lights.
  - The language follows the Cinema 4D language (German/English).

GPU memory: 16 bytes per particle, 28 bytes with motion blur.
