I will post some (hopefully usefull) stuff for Cinema 4D on this page.

Free Cinema 4D Plugin “GPUParticleRender”

Render huge amounts of particles ultrafast!

GPUParticleRender is a free GPU particle renderer for Cinema 4D, inspired by the point-rendering approach of classic volumetric particle renderers. It renders Thinking Particles, including particles from X-Particles via its Thinking Particles output, directly on your NVIDIA graphics card. You get a live preview inside Cinema 4D and can export single frames or full sequences.

Features

Live GPU preview of millions of particles in a dockable Cinema 4D window. For example, 16.8 million particles render in about 35 ms on an RTX 5090 at preview resolution.

Two render modes:

Additive: glowing, light-emitting particles

Volumetric: particles lit by standard Cinema 4D lights (point, spot, distant) with color, falloff, spot cones and particle self-shadowing

Repopulation: multiply your particle count with generated child particles around each source particle.

Depth of field and motion blur

Spherical camera (360°): equirectangular output in mono and stereo (omni-directional stereo). All settings come from the “Spherical” tab of the Cinema 4D camera, including eye separation, toe-in, pole smoothing and the layouts above/under, side-by-side, left and right only.

Export with alpha:

OpenEXR (linear, premultiplied)

transparent PNG (8 or 16 bit)

single frame or image sequence, using the resolution and frame range from your render settings

Safe sequence export: renders from a copy of your scene, so your open scene and timeline stay untouched. A progress bar and a cancel button are included.

Interface language: English and German, following the Cinema 4D language.

Requirements

Cinema 4D 2026 for Windows, 64-bit (tested with 2026.4)

NVIDIA GPU of the Turing generation or newer: GTX 16xx, RTX 20xx, 30xx, 40xx, 50xx and comparable professional cards

NVIDIA driver 580 or newer

No CUDA toolkit installation required

GPU memory: about 16 bytes per particle, 28 bytes with motion blur (e.g. 100 million particles ≈ 1.6 GB, plus image buffers)

Not supported

AMD and Intel GPUs, macOS

Cubic mappings and “Fit Frame” for the spherical camera

Area, tube and IES lights, which are approximated as point lights (max. 8 lights)

Camera motion blur (only particle motion is blurred)

Installation

Extract the folder “GPUParticleRender” into a plugin folder of your choice, e.g. D:C4D-Plugins.

In Cinema 4D, go to Edit > Preferences > Plugins and add that folder as a plugin path.

Restart Cinema 4D and open the plugin via Extensions > GPUParticleRender.
